Emmy Chaos: Rival Stars Storm Out Over 'Traitors' Win

The recent Emmy awards took a surprising turn when The Traitors, the US adaptation of the popular British reality series, clinched the title for Outstanding Reality Competition Program. This unexpected victory led to some drama as the stars of a competing show, RuPaul's Drag Race, reportedly made a hasty exit from the ceremony.
Held at the illustrious Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, the 76th Primetime Emmy Awards were filled with fierce contenders like The Amazing Race, RuPaul's Drag Race, The Voice, and Top Chef. However, it was The Traitors that took home the coveted award, shocking many industry insiders.
Eyewitness accounts revealed that the queens from Drag Race were visibly displeased upon losing and, according to The Hollywood Reporter’s Chris Gardner, they made their exit as soon as the category was announced. He shared a clip showcasing the cast departing from the star-studded evening.
However, Drag Race cast member Plane Jane quickly responded to the backlash, insisting their departure was merely to grab a drink during a commercial break. “It was a commercial break and the girls wanted a drink. We all stayed until the end of the ceremony,” she clarified on social media. Another cast member, Amanda Tori Meating, echoed this sentiment, stating, “It was a commercial break; are we allowed to go, p*** girl?”
On a celebratory note, The Traitors host, Alan Cumming, not only accepted the award for his show but also snagged the title of Outstanding Host for a Reality or Reality Competition Program. He graciously acknowledged Scotland, where the show was filmed, calling it the best “co-star” he could have wished for.
“We are so grateful because we are a new show—and you guys know when you like something, you tend to stick to it
