Linkin Park's Rebirth: Emily Armstrong's Impact
Linkin Park Reunites with New Vocalist, Emily Armstrong
After a seven-year hiatus following the tragic loss of frontman Chester Bennington, Linkin Park has regrouped and is ready to make music once again.
On September 5th, the band announced Emily Armstrong as their new co-lead vocalist and revealed plans for a new album and tour this fall.
Armstrong, formerly of Dead Sara, made her debut with the band during a livestream concert on the same day.
The band, composed of longtime members Mike Shinoda, Brad Delson, Dave Farrell, and Joe Hahn, has been together since 1996.
They will release their eighth studio album, From Zero, on November 11th.
The album's title is a nod to their original band name, Xero, and signifies their humble beginning and the journey we're currently undertaking.
Shinoda said the album is about past, present, and future — embracing our signature sound, but new and full of life.
While Linkin Park moves on, they will never forget Bennington's spirit and legacy.
