Meet Chris McCausland, the hilarious comedian who’s making waves as a new contestant on the beloved show, *Strictly Come Dancing*. During the pre-recorded launch episode aired last Saturday, he stole the spotlight with a cheeky comment directed at his co-star, Punam Krishan, that had everyone in stitches.

As McCausland joined his fellow celebrity contestants alongside hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman, the moment arrived for them to discover their professional dance partners. To the audience's delight, McCausland was partnered with the talented Dianne Buswell. With his signature humor, he couldn't resist making light of his situation as a blind competitor, joking that they wouldn’t make it past November – prompting uproarious laughter from the crowd.

In a delightful turn of events, Punam Krishan was paired with the charming Gorka Marquez, a partnership that left her absolutely thrilled. Speaking with Tess Daly during the launch, Krishan shared her excitement about juggling her medical career as a GP while participating in the show. Daly teased her about the need for some innovative multi-tasking skills.

“I've got to be!” Krishan exclaimed, revealing that it’s going to be a lengthy experience. “The days are very long, and I’m a very literal student.” She added a humorous anecdote about preparing for dance by breaking in her shoes. “So last week, picture the scene, the doctor comes out, they call you in, and they're in their scrubs — all of a sudden they’re wearing these bad boys,” she said, showcasing her stylish high-heeled shoes.

With a twinkle in her eye, Daly chimed in, “You have actually applied all of your years of medical training to one very specific area now.” Krishan humorously reflected on her extensive experience as a GP: “Yes, it’s all about the feet now. Over the years, the only thing I’ve heard is about blisters getting in the way of dancing. So cream, plasters—you name it, I’ve got it! And if it all works, I might share it
