X Factor Judge Set to Join I'm a Celebrity's Starry Lineup
Former X Factor judge and pop sensation, Tulisa Contostavlos, is reportedly gearing up for a grand return to the spotlight as she sets her sights on this year's edition of I'm a Celebrity ... Get Me Out of Here!. At 36 years old, the self-proclaimed Female Boss is ready to reclaim her spot in mainstream showbiz following the successful sell-out of her band N-Dubz's UK tour last year.
ITV is keen to have Tulisa join the adventurous camp Down Under, aiming to capture the attention of a younger audience who have recently discovered her music on TikTok. Along with her cousin Dappy and friend Fazer, Tulisa has an impressive legacy: two platinum albums, two gold albums, five MOBO awards, a Brit Award nomination, thirteen top 40 hits, six silver singles, and three Urban Music Awards.
A source revealed Tulisa’s reservations about joining I'm A Celebrity had softened: “She's been on ITV's radar for quite some time, but she wasn't ready until now. This year marks a decade since she left The X Factor, and with the fantastic response to the N-Dubz reunion tour, she feels it's the perfect moment to step back into the TV limelight.”
This anticipated return is significant for ITV as well. The same source explained, “Tulisa's versatile career trajectory allows her to connect with a broad audience. People remember her from The X Factor, but her fanbase has grown substantially thanks to the recent N-Dubz tour. TV executives are especially eager about the influx of new fans aged 16 to 24 who have found Tulisa through TikTok.” There's a feeling of excitement that a deal will be finalized soon.
